Dutch actresses: these are the 10 most fun

Actresses are just people. Or, what am I saying? Of course, they are ordinary people too. They do their shopping, get their nails done, and occasionally stroll down a red carpet. Okay, they are a bit different from us, but many actresses feel like they could have been a friend. Just read along, because we think these are the 10 most fun actresses in all of the Netherlands.

1. Tjitske Reidinga

This hilarious actress is known as Claire van Kampen. A chic woman with a dry sense of humor, who makes everyone laugh with her sharp remarks. She doesn't hold back, and I don't think Tjitske does either. She is very funny, witty, and a lovely woman. While she became popular with the younger audience not too long ago, her reaction when she saw paintings of herself in the show Stars on Canvas. She was so shocked that she literally screamed. “Oh no, that scares me. It’s very skillfully painted, but oh – it looks like I’m completely under Botox.” She found the other paintings even worse. It was so funny, all of the Netherlands enjoyed it.

2. Lies Visschedijk

Just like Soof, Lies Visschedijk is amazing. She is down-to-earth, says what she thinks, and is just really funny. In her podcast ‘We Are FURIOUS’ she complains about everything that irritates her. It’s really too fun. Actually, she is just like every Dutch person: a complainer at heart. All the misery she experiences, she turns into a humorous joke, which is often relatable. How I love this woman.

3. Elise Schaap

Another fun actress is Elise Schaap. She is currently in almost every movie and series, and that says enough. Everyone likes her. She is super good at impressions, like she did as Ruxandra in The Family Kruys and The TV Canteen. In that last show, she imitated so many people that she became part of the regular cast. Personally, I think she was the funniest when she imitated Nikkie Plessen. She is our homegrown Julia Roberts.

4. Georgina Verbaan

Down-to-earth, outspoken, and funny. Those are three words to describe Georgina Verbaan. She advocates for every cause she believes in. Like nature, when she shared on Instagram in March that the small knot-legged beetle was the insect of the year. Or for the Palestinians, about whom she shares things daily. She loves cats and is not afraid to express her opinion in columns. In short, in my eyes, she is a top woman. In all her roles and programs she participates in, she puts a piece of herself.

5. Tina de Bruin

When you say humor, you say Tina de Bruin. That woman is so funny. I have already mentioned that word a lot, but Tina breathes humor. If anyone can play a quirky character to make everyone laugh, it’s her. As she often does with Bram Krikke and other trendy ‘comedians’. Although she is a well-known actress, Tina is one of the most normal, relatable celebrities we have in the Netherlands. We hear and see that in the Podcast Chantal & Tina, where she tells stories with Chantal Janzen as if she is presenting the New Year’s conference. I enjoy that so much.

6. Chantal Janzen

Yes, we just mentioned her: Chantal Janzen. Wherever she appears: Chantal Janzen is so fun. Whether she is presenting Oh What a Year or making women laugh. Everything she does is a success, and there’s a reason for that: everyone thinks she’s amazing. She knows when to be vulnerable and when it’s time for her enthusiasm and positive energy. And of course, just like her friend Tina, she is super funny in their podcast. Chantal Blijft Slapen 7. Linda de Mol.

linda de mol

The queen of television, Linda de Mol, has been a household name in the media world for many years. I grew up with her, and what I often remember is her hearty laugh in

Million Hunt . She could always be so empathetic and make jokes. She reacted impulsively and yes, just like us ‘normal’. She was in shock when you were, had to laugh when you did too. That’s how she is in every show we see her in, or saw. For example in. I Love Holland . How I enjoyed that. We could talk for hours about it, but her ability to entertain in a personal way is what touches many. Including me.. Wat heb ik daarvan genoten. We kunnen uren erover praten, maar haar vermogen om te entertainen op een persoonlijke manier is wat velen raakt. Including me.

8. Simone Kleinsma

Some of us know Simone Kleinsma as Kees, or as a musical actress. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we Dutch are so down-to-earth, but Simone is also such an example of a ‘just fun woman’, as Jean-Paul from B&B would say. She is a chatterbox, and we love that. And talented too. I can’t wait to see her again in the theater. Can’t you?

9. Halina Reijn

Before Halina moved to America and started making films with Nicole Kidman, she was a beloved actress here. Just the fact that she is a female director trying to make a way for herself in America makes me like her. But it’s about more than that, of course. It’s a theme, but she can tell stories so well. In her podcast with Carice van Houten, for example, she lets her humor shine.

10. Carice van Houten

Meanwhile, Carice has left us for the American Dream for a while, but she hasn’t disappeared from our hearts. She is someone who dares to go for what she wants: she just packed her bags and got a role in Game Of Thrones. Where she was great, by the way. She just does it, huh. And with her activism about sustainability and the environment, she steals the hearts of many. She now shares more of herself in the podcast with her friend Halina Reijn.
