The most beautiful ZARA in the Netherlands has opened in this city
(and it's not in Amsterdam)
Okay, stop what you're doing, because ZARA has outdone itself: a new store has opened. Now, that's not particularly special in itself, but once you see this store, your jaw will drop. It's so beautiful; it's really not normal. It looks more like a high-end fashion house than the chain where we all score our basics. Where is it located? Let me tell you, and spoiler alert: for once, it's not in the Randstad.
Where is the store then?
This super large store is located in the capital of Limburg. So you can probably guess: in Maastricht. Yes, the city with that medieval architecture and the Vrijthof. Opposite the HEMA, that's where it is. At Grote Staat 15, in the old V&D building. (Rest in peace, V&D.)

Just like a designer store
This store is really insane. Have you seen that black leather couch? No more small chairs where you have to wait while your friend tries on thirteen pieces of clothing. You can now just comfortably lounge on that soft fabric. With a shiny natural stone floor and subtly beige walls, the store has a minimalist look that really gives a designer feel. There are no overcrowded racks anymore, but carefully curated collections. Since everything is divided into smaller sections, shopping is much easier. It feels a bit like walking through a gallery instead of a retail chain.
And have you seen that perfume corner? Well, that's really of a different caliber. The illuminated niches where the perfumes are displayed remind you of those in an expensive French perfume shop hidden away in a place where no tourists go. The shoes are no longer crammed under the clothing, but displayed on a white podium. The pillars look just like chess pieces, and the tables here are ones I would love to have in my home. Especially that light brown wooden table... Isn't it beautiful? I can already see myself sitting at such a table, with a nice dinner set and a large salad bowl. Even the self-checkout has received a stylish look.
This is definitely a very different shopping experience than standing in such a warm, overcrowded store. If there's anything that overstimulates me, it's that. That moment when you have to take off your coat because otherwise, you'll have a stroke while waiting in line for the fitting rooms. Okay, okay, I'm going a bit overboard, but isn't it wonderful that this store is a lot bigger? I'm a fan.
