The nail polish color of the month December

New month, new color. To make the endless color choice a bit easier for you, we will suggest a color every month. In December, we all wear pampampam: Winter White.

White, but in a wintery way
Now that we are happily pulling our sweaters, scarves, and thick faux fur coats out of the closet, our manicure can definitely match that cozy December vibe. You might quickly think of burgundy, dark green, or even black. But we are really going for winter white. This is not a bright, summer white shade that screams for a cocktail on the beach, but rather the warm snow variant. Think: subtle pearlescent, milky ivory, or a creamy off-white.

How to apply white nail polish
Note: white is not that easy. Every little spot, every wobbly edge – it stands out. So: team tight application it is. What helps? Apply a bit of Vaseline to your cuticles before you start. This way, you can easily wipe away any mishaps. And then: work in layers. Thick first layers are out of the question (they don’t dry nicely, stain quickly, and look messy). Preferably work with three thin layers and let them dry well. Your patience will be rewarded with this trend. A good topcoat as a finishing touch is also not a luxury. This way, your white nails stay just a few days extra beautiful, and all your work won’t be in vain. Because one chip, and your whole look suddenly isn’t so neat anymore.
Our winter white favorites
Essie – ‘Blanc’: The classic, but with a glossy finish. Think: icy glamour.
OPI – ‘Funny Bunny’: A soft milky white that is never loud, perfect with a woolen winter sweater.
Chanel – ‘Pure White’: For when you really want to make a statement during the Christmas dinner.
Hema – ‘Milkmaid’: Budget-friendly, but surprisingly chic. Plus: it dries quickly.
Sally Hansen – ‘Let’s Snow’: The name says it all. Winter vibes all the way.
