Dupe alert: these 7 pumps look like Amalia's
I can't be the only one who had water in her mouth when I saw the heels that Amalia wore yesterday. Our future queen took Washington by storm during her first official visit to the United Nations. With her clever remarks and eagerness to learn, of course – but also with those amazing pumps. I immediately sprinted to the online world to find out where they came from, but then I fell straight into a black, dark hole: they are incredibly expensive. And not just a week without buying a sweet treat expensive, but €890 expensive. Ouch. Yes, that hurt. But luckily there are a lot of dupes that can make me (and you) a lot happier.
First things first: what did Amalia's fantastic red heels look like?
She made the American streets unsafe in Italian leather slingback pumps by Gianvito Rossi. The ‘Eloise 55 patent leather slingback pumps’, to be precise. That glossy red leather instantly caught my attention and hasn't let go since. I – must – have – them. And apparently Amalia thought so too, because she looks stunning in these shoes with her black pantsuit. Totally trendy with that red pop of color and gold knotted earrings (which I secretly also dream of).

These are the best Gianvito Rossi inspired pumps
Okay, the dupes then. Unfortunately, the fashion gods, or rather, my paycheck, don't always agree with me. Because as much as I want them, those shoes are expensive. Now I can imagine you're in the same dilemma. It's not every day that you spend almost your entire or half of your monthly salary on heels – we can't all be Carrie Bradshaw. But can you, like me, not get these out of your mind? Then you can score these imitations for a fraction of the price:
1. Patent pumps with straps (Pull & Bear) €35,99
I can hear you thinking: ‘Laudonne, aren't these darker?’ Alright. You got me. That's true, but they look almost identical to the real Gianvito Rossi pumps: the kitten heel, the strap, the slingback, and the almost lace edge at the top of the toes. They are basically twins. (And my personal favorite). These are really the ones you want if you're looking for a cheaper variant – and a bonus: it fits even better with this autumn season.
2. Slingback Pumps (NA-KD) (€37,46)
Look, is it exactly the shoe that Amalia wore? No, but do they come close? Yes, definitely. They are a bit more fiery red than the originals, but it definitely gives the same vibe. With this kitten heel, you will show up just like the princess of Orange. Oh, and it's on sale. So be quick.
3. Stroll slingback shoes with mid-high heel (ASOS DESIGN) (€29,74)
Just like its predecessor, this pump is on sale. It's not an exact copy, but these kitten heels are very nice, because yes: that Italian craftsmanship is hard to replicate.
4. Toni Slingback Kitten Heel (Sam Edelman) (€120)
These deep scarlet pumps also have a place in my heart. With that heel size, I could run a marathon. And this color will look so beautiful with all your autumn outfits. Nice blazers, trousers, or just a pantyhose with a skirt. It all works with this slingback. And that little gold detail is not like the OG, but still cool.
5. Liana pumps in wine (Steve Madden) (€119,95)
Well, those buckles weren't on the Italian shoes, but these Steve Madden heels come pretty close. And honestly? Those Steve Madden shoes are super comfortable, so these are definitely a good idea to try. Girl Math.
6. VOGUE classic pumps in dark Cherry (Steve Madden) (€59,95)
What could be better than Steve Madden shoes on sale? Yes: nothing. The beautiful round shape and color match Eloise's, and there's a nice bow on it. Cute, right?
7. Classic pumps (Mango) (€55,99)
Those gold – what is it? A brooch? – on these pumps look just like the earrings Amalia wore in Washington. That's nice, you get both: the earrings and shoes. In one pump then. Mango scores points with us again.
