In your bag: these are the best SPFs for on the go
Okay, fair is fair: I diligently apply factor 50 on my face, neck, and behind my ears in the morning, but halfway through the day? I often forget it. While that afternoon sun, of course, has a higher UV index (handy; you can see it on your weather app nowadays) than in the morning. And whether you're sitting in the office, in the car, or grabbing a coffee to go, those UV rays don't hide from you and are always present.
That's why I'm a huge fan of that handy SPF for on-the-go these days. Small, quick, convenient, no hassle – and especially: no more excuses. Because with a spray, stick, mist, or powder, you can always get to work wherever and whenever. Some are easier than others, and that makes us happy. These sunscreens are so nice that you almost hope you have to apply them again. Almost, right?.
1. Supergoop! (Re)Setting Refreshing Mist SPF 40
A refreshing mist that doesn't ruin your makeup AND protects you from the sun? Yes please. I spray this over my face when I'm on the go or sitting on a terrace – no mirrors, no hassle. Everything from Supergoop! is really nice, by the way. So if you're near a Sephora, it's worth every euro.
2. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Anti-Glans Invisible Sunscreen SPF50+
A spray is really a game changer. You apply it over your makeup so easily, without streaks or greasiness. This one is also ideal for oily and impure skin types. It doesn't get much easier than this.
3. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF50+
For the skincare nerds among us: this Korean SPF is light, silky, and works great under and over makeup. It provides a matte smooth finish, so handy if you're going to shine in certain places.
4. Hello Sunday The Retouch One Face Mist SPF 30
A nice mist with a soft scent that gives your skin a mini-boost. This is a staple in my beach bag because: quick, fresh, and safe.
5. Kruidvat Solait SPF 50+ Invisible Sun Protection Brush
Budget-friendly and cleverly designed: a brush with SPF powder. Super easy to apply over your makeup, and great for touch-ups. You don't have to rub it in, so: no greasy fingers. It also comes in a Bronze color, but I choose the transparent one.
6. COOLA Organic Classic Face Mist SPF 50
If you're looking for a bit of luxury in an SPF mist, you're in the right place. The scent is wonderfully subtle, the packaging chic, and the formula clean & gentle for your skin. Be sure to shake well before use.
7. Lancaster Sun Sport Invisible Face Mist SPF 50
The name says ‘Sun Sport’ which might make you not shop it quickly, but if you (like me) hardly ever exercise, you can also use this SPF just fine. It's especially nice for those extra warm days or when you want to freshen up quickly on the go. You can spray it right over your makeup. And: it smells wonderfully summery.
8. Brush on Block translucent mineral sunscreen SPF 30
Invisible, light as air, and perfect for sensitive skin. It mattifies your skin in places where it shines due to heat and has no white cast. Our tip: also great for your scalp and especially the parting of your hair. My scalp always burns quite quickly if I don't protect it or forget a hat. This SPF brush doesn't make your hair greasy, ideal.
