The hair trend we didn't see coming
Old-fashioned hair clips are hot in 2025

Last year you saw it a lot at festivals, but this year we will definitely see it even more: hair accessories are making a huge comeback in 2025. Do you remember the felt bow ties at Chanel last year? At Dolce & Gabbana – totally Madonna-inspired by the way, delightful – it was, especially the fabric headbands that made the difference. Hair accessories are affordable and complete your look.
Trend from grandmother's time
Well, a little bit then. Because as is often the case, fashion picks something from the past and then amplifies it significantly. We saw the street style squads in Paris especially with a lot of hair clips. I love the photo of the woman who used her whole head as a CHANEL pin cushion. Since we don't all have access to 76 CHANEL pins, there's another trend that's a lot easier.
You take:
5 (or more, but preferably an odd number) old-fashioned clip hairpins. Smooth your hair back behind your ear and pinch a row of clips in. You are now completely in vogue, and your hair will look good all day long.
The bobby pin trick
You can really buy bobby pins for less than a matcha latte, so this trend is a bargain. Also here, pull your hair tight down or put it in a bun or ponytail. Against the pulled part of your hair, slide in a bobby pin, and then slide another pin in crosswise against it. Sounds complicated, but look at the photo and you'll get it right away. Isn't this such a fun pattern?
You will be amazed at how such a small detail can change your entire appearance. I would say: pull, just like I do, those hair accessories out of the closet. This way, you'll never be underdressed in 2025.
