With flaxseed, you make the perfect curly gel
And this is how you do it

Have you heard about this new hair trend? It's totally in to embrace your natural curls again. I'm a daily styler myself, because those beautiful, shiny curls don't just come flying in.
Just last week, I made an ultimate attempt to embrace my natural hair. Bent over in the bathtub, I scrunched the leave-in, mousse, and gel into my hair, diffused until I got cramps in my triceps, all to arrive at my appointment - after a little bike ride - with a huge frizz ball.
A miracle remedy from your kitchen cabinet
My fresh colleague Lysanne has a boyfriend who struggled with the same problem, and styling wasn't really an option for him, I understand that, so she looked for a solution for him. Since he loves the most natural products possible, she searched everywhere for the best ingredient to make natural curls look good and stay that way. And it works.
Secret recipe
A natural gel, made from two simple ingredients that you probably already have at home, should be the solution. What you need to do is simple: bring a pot with a mixture of two glasses of water and one glass of flaxseed to a boil for about 10 minutes. When white foam forms, the mixture has a gel-like texture and you can take it off the heat. Let it cool down and strain your mixture through a sieve. Store it in a sealed container in the fridge. And voilà, you now have your own, natural gel.
Scrunch the mixture into wet hair, let it air dry or use a hairdryer to speed up the process. This cheap mixture without chemical mess will reactivate and nourish your curls. The gel-like structure creates a natural cast around each curl, making frizz a thing of the past. Want extra soft curls? Then massage your favorite hair oil through your locks and you're done.
Have fun with your reborn curls – and believe me, your hair and wallet will thank you.
