These bizarre goodie bags were given to the winners of the Golden Globes
Award show season is officially opened with the Golden Globes. While the celebs were mainly focused on the recognition of their work and the golden statue, there was an extra benefit. All winners and presenters of the evening received a goodie bag full of luxury gifts. With a value of 1 million dollars, this year it was packed twice as large as in 2024. No wonder they also call it ‘The Ultimate Gift Bag’.
Luxury travel and wellness gifts
Especially for the Golden Globes an exclusive edition of the Atlas Bespoke Weekender Bag was created; a brown suede bag with a gold coin featuring the Globes logo. Those who took a peek inside found ‘The Ultimate Gift Book’ explaining all the luxury gifts. The lucky celebs received, among other things, a five-day yacht charter through the Coral Triangle in Indonesia worth 60 thousand dollars and a five-day stay at the Ritz Grand Cayman resort worth 55 thousand dollars. This year, wellness gifts were also plentiful. For example, there was a Maybourne Beverly Hills oxygen facial treatment ($1,400), a CurrentBody LED light therapy facial mask ($469), and even a non-surgical stem cell facelift ($40,000) on the list. Various luxury drinks and cigars and special training sessions completed the 2025 package.
The fine print
Before the celebs could start packing their bags for all the luxury trips, they had to read the fine print of the ‘gift book’ carefully. There awaited them a, perhaps not so pleasant, surprise. Not everyone would ultimately receive exactly the same prizes. Here's how it works: there are a total of 25 different items in the book; some of them are for all winners and presenters, but the rest is only available in limited quantities. Only one person will get the facelift, and a trip to Finland on a private jet is only for one lucky individual. The celebs could apply to be considered for these (even more) exclusive prizes. The rule was: first come, first served. However, there are special rules to prevent someone from taking home the entire list. Actors who are nominated more often or also present an award still have just as much chance as those who ‘only’ win once. Just as the battle for the awards has just ended, the next one for all the goodies begins. But to be honest, for those luxury trips and gifts, you would be willing to put in some effort, right?
