This is how you make the Flu Bomb

The miracle cure for flu and colds

By

Caught a cold? It's only natural that you want to get rid of it as soon as possible. No one enjoys being sick in bed. When you feel this miserable, it may seem impossible to become flu-free super quickly. But believe us: it can be done. You just need to know the recipe for the Flu Bomb.

Was Paracetamol always your best friend during flu times? From today, the Flu Bomb is that. This drink is really the bomb when you're sick, weak, and nauseous or stuffed up with a cold.

The recipe for Flu Bomb

The recipe comes from Australian Barbara O’Neill. She created the drink and has since provided relief to many sick people. The Flu Bomb consists of six powerful ingredients. Most of them you probably have at home as standard. Here’s what you need:

  • Finely chopped garlic: as much as you want. Usually, a medium-sized clove is fine, but just do what feels right.
  • A quarter teaspoon of finely chopped ginger
  • Cayenne pepper: as much as you want. It can be a pinch, but also a teaspoon.
  • A teaspoon of honey
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • A drop of eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil (no more than that!)
  • Tea tree oil is a bit easier to obtain than eucalyptus oil. It's important that you get a good quality oil that is no older than a year. Also, don't buy oil that is mainly meant for spreading fragrance, but choose one that you can take diluted. For example, get advice at Holland & Barrett.

Back to normal in no time

Mix the above ingredients with about 80 milliliters of hot water. Some strain the mixture, but that’s not necessary. According to creator Barbara O’Neill, you should take this drink three times a day. By day 3 or 4, you should be almost completely rid of your cold, she says. But she might be underselling herself. Because there are also quite a few people who report feeling much better much faster:

  • ”I went to bed sick. When I got up the next morning, I felt even worse. I had all the symptoms of the flu; body aches, stuffiness, runny nose, cough, fever, and chills. I made Barbara’s Flu Bomb and felt better a few hours later. Thank you, Barbara!”
  • ”Acute sinusitis was resolved within a day with this, after feeling miserable for six days. After an hour, the soaking sweat and drowsiness came. I slept for two hours and when I woke up, most of my symptoms were gone. My head was clear again and I could talk again.”

Another extra tip if you have food poisoning and can't keep anything down: drink this drink, which you can simply buy at the supermarket. And when you can eat something again, make chicken soup. You'll feel great from that. You'll get through this flu season just fine!
