This is how you protect your skin while skiing

In winter, the air is drier and due to the fluctuating temperatures, the cold outside and heating inside, your skin dries out faster. Especially the face suffers during winter sports, your skin needs extra care to stay hydrated. So make sure you don't leave with dry skin. The best and most effective way to combat the drying of the skin as much as possible is to apply a moisturizing cream without perfume and alcohol more often and especially more frequently. And by drinking enough water, 1.5 liters a day.
Extra important during winter sports is a good sunscreen to prevent skin damage.
So don't forget to pack your SPF cream! In the mountains, the UV intensity is higher and snow reflects the sun, causing even more UV radiation to reach your skin. Use at least SPF 30 and reapply regularly, every two hours. Do you suffer from pigmentation spots? Then it might be handy to keep an SPF stick in your jacket pocket. This way, you can easily apply extra sun protection to those areas in between. I personally find this nice and it contains no perfume.
- Only when it is really cold, you should avoid applying extra cream during the day, besides your sunscreen, to prevent freezing. Instead, apply it in the evening.
- Clothing also protects the skin and ensures that less moisture evaporates from the skin. So don't forget to pack a warm scarf, hat / helmet, and gloves.
- Don't forget your lips.
- Usually, the lips are the first to become sensitive to wind and cold, as they can hold less moisture. Use a lip balm with SPF during the day while skiing, so you also get sun protection.
- ‘In the evening, you can use Vaseline just fine.
