For example, we now know that you can save quite a bit if you book flight tickets on Tuesday, an Apple AirTag in your suitcase has become a must, and an empty water bottle in your hand luggage saves you a few euros once you’ve passed through customs. But listen: I’ve found a new travel hack. And for those who like to travel outside the borders of Europe, it’s life-changing.

Let’s say you’re in Thailand. They use a different currency there, which differs significantly from the euro. If you need to pay something in Thai baht, you’re constantly calculating in your head how many euros you’re actually spending. And I just happen to have the solution for this problem.

Grab the Canva app on your phone and look for a colorful background. Then go to the site wisselkoers.nl and look up the currency of the destination you’re going to. Calculate how much money it’s worth in your vacation country per number of euros. Put this in a list in a table on Canva, download it to your phone, and set it as your background. Now you have a price list at hand so you know exactly how many euros you’re actually spending. Smart, right?
