Winter full of Love: Mike's mother is already throwing a spanner in the works
With programs like B&B full of Love and Winter full of Love, you know that there will definitely be cringeworthy situations. Especially since in the data phase you try to highlight your good sides, and living together doesn’t really help with that. Let alone if you also have to date and live with your future mother-in-law.
We all know that Mike himself is not the problem
All nice and well those other Winter love seekers, but I am so distracted by Mike’s painful situation that I can’t think of anything else for the rest of the episode. Because even before videos of potential love candidates are viewed, Mike’s mother has already droned on about a list of demands that even Princess Kate couldn’t meet. She must love pets, love children, must not smoke, and must especially be able to deal with the fact that you just move in with Mike’s parents. You could say that Mike should first move out to give love a chance, but looking at his mother, I don’t think she would tolerate that. She does say that Mike needs to open up to see the single ladies, but in the meantime, she keeps a bit of a plate in front of her face and takes zero distance from her son to give him the feeling that he is an adult man.

Despite Mike cautiously giving his opinion, it is ultimately not Mike who decides who gets a chance. Even with the prettiest women, mom can find something negative. A tough, attractive woman on a motorcycle with beautiful blonde curls? ‘Sunk perm’ according to mom. Poor Mike, and poor ladies, because this way no one gets a fair chance at love.
