You can stay at the famous Yellowstone Ranch

In the series Yellowstone, available on SkyShowtime, we follow among others Kevin Costner (who has already left the series), Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes and the ups and downs of the families and life in Montana. The series has been running for several years now and scores a solid 8.6 on IMDb. If you ever feel like playing cowboy and staying at this special place, you can do that.

You do have to travel a bit for that. About five hours west of the eponymous national park, you will find the Chief Joseph Ranch, as it is actually called. And this is located in the town of Darby, a small village with fewer than a thousand inhabitants.

Since 2012, the land where the ranch is located has been owned by rancher Shane Libel and his family. It has been inhabited since the late 1880s and thanks to the success of the series, the ranch has been in the spotlight. Libel once said about it: “It’s the most surreal image in the world: seeing your own living room in a show that was filmed in your own house!”

If you want to stay overnight at the Chief Joseph Ranch, you can choose from two lodges: the Ben Cook Cabin and the Fisherman Cabin. Both cabins accommodate up to eight people and have a complete kitchen and of course a grill. The minimum stay is three nights, but that is also advisable if you want to unleash your inner cowboy and experience life in Montana. Rates may change, but generally, the Ben Cook Cabin costs $1,700 per night (for four guests, with a surcharge of $50 per person for each additional guest). The Fisherman Cabin is rented for $1,400 per night, for four guests with the same surcharge for each additional guest.
