I can hear you thinking: it's only September! It's a phenomenon that I call the ‘peppernuts effect’, products for the holidays are appearing in stores earlier and earlier. At the end of August, they kicked off with their advent calendar, which was in such demand that it sold out the same day. This is the calendar that I buy every year because it always contains the best products, which I enjoy for a long time. Last year, I bought it the same day it was released, but it turned out to be in stock for another three months. This year, it was already sold out online before I could order it, but I saw that it was still in stock at the Bijenkorf on the Dam. So off to the center, where I always enjoy the shopping options anyway. I just wasn't planning to drag the calendar weighing almost 4.5 kilos through the city, so I thought I could go at the end of the day. However, when I walked in, there was a sign saying sold out stuck on the display. So I asked an employee if they were selling it anywhere else in the store, to which she pointed me to the perfume department. When I arrived there, I saw one lying there. It was kismet. While I was checking out, they also stuck the sold out sign there after three more people came asking about the calendar. So I stuffed it into the tiny trunk of my Citycar, and then waited in suspense for three months to see what was inside. Every year I find it more fun. This is the calendar with the best price-quality ratio and also a good mix of skincare, makeup, and hair products. Online it is still sold out, but I would definitely take advantage of the email notification for new stock option.
Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 worth €850.
I still find it so sad that this store has disappeared from the Netherlands. They always have the cutest gifts and decorations for the holidays, including this advent calendar in a unique packaging. It contains more niche products that you probably haven't discovered yet, with brands like Grown Alchemist and Malin Goetz.
24 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar.
They don't officially call it an advent calendar, but Skins sells The Boutique Box with 27 compartments. Diptique, Escentric Molecules, Byredo, Essential Parfums, all the big brands are included. The downside is that they are smaller in size than the perfumes in the Bijenkorf calendar, but there are many more of them. The box is inspired by the Skins store in Haarlem, and the facades are the compartments.

LookFantastic always has great products in its advent calendars every year, most of which are full-size. A mix of unknown and very popular products, with brands like MAC, Sol de Janeiro, and Laura Mercier.
THE BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR (WORTH MORE THAN €771).
This year, Cult Beauty offers two different options: The Special Edition and The Signature Edition. The Special Edition has a higher value, but the Signature contains more full-size products. Both calendars again contain great brands like Westman Atelier, Sunday Riley, and Laneige.

In the Rituals calendar, there are of course only products from their own line, but for fans of the brand, this calendar is definitely worth the price.

My favorite webshop for Korean skincare comes with a calendar full of cult classics. It contains the very best K-beauty products, such as the Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream, Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, and the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum.

It is the most expensive on the list, but it really contains top products, from brands like Summer Fridays, Naturium, and K18. Space NK is a bit like the British Sephora, and fortunately, they also deliver to the Netherlands.
