This checked blouse from Primark costs only €18 and is perfect for autumn

You see it everywhere this autumn: checks. From blouses to jackets, this print is no longer to be thought away from the street scene. I also spotted a super cute blouse at Primark that fits perfectly with the season. This checked blouse is budget-friendly and has a little bow at the neck, which makes it just a bit different. And the red-purple variant, I immediately threw into my shopping cart.

I always find it nice when you can find something that looks just a bit different from the basics already hanging in your closet for little money. Don't get me wrong: a good white blouse or black sweater is indispensable, but sometimes you just want something with a bit more character. I would wear it, for example, with navy blue jeans and black ballet flats and a good trench coat. An outfit that is not complicated but still looks cute right away. I can also totally see it with trousers and loafers. And on days when it's really cold, I wear a longsleeve underneath. This blouse is also oversized enough to wear a sweater underneath.

Why I think red-purple will be the color of this winter

Burgundy has already been an integral part of the fashion scene in recent seasons, but I find it nice to now also look more towards those deep red-purple shades. Think of plum purple, dark red, and colors that are a bit between burgundy and purple. They have something warm and chic for winter, without you having to go completely for basic black.

And honestly: as soon as it gets colder outside, I also tend to reach for darker colors faster. Black is always good, but a rich red-purple shade gives just a bit more life to an outfit. Especially on a dark autumn day, I don't think that's an unnecessary luxury.

The nice thing is that you can easily combine these colors with what you probably already have hanging in your closet. Think of brown, cream, gray, dark blue, and of course denim. So you don't have to immediately buy all sorts of new clothes to join the trend. With one blouse in such a beautiful color, you can already go a long way.
