A fan of Culpa Mía? Then you want to see the number 1 movie on Prime Video

If you My Fault, Culpa Tuya and Our Fault if you've seen it so many times that you can almost recite the scenes, then Prime Video has something new for you. And apparently, we are not the only ones who are happy about it, because Drawn Together last week it was the most viewed Prime Original movie.

The film premiered on September 9 on Prime Video and is written by Mercedes Ron. Yes, the same writer responsible for the books behind the hugely popular Culpables-films. So expect once again a lot of appeal, attractive people, a love that is actually quite complicated, and enough drama to keep you occupied for 1 hour and 44 minutes.

This is what Drawn Together is about

At the center is Marfil Cortés, played by Ester Expósito, whom you probably remember as Carla from Elite. Marfil is the daughter of an influential Spanish businessman and lives her life in New York until she is suddenly kidnapped. Even stranger: after her kidnapping, she is released for no apparent reason.

Her father obviously doesn't trust the situation at all and decides to hire Sebastián Moore as her personal bodyguard. From that moment on, he has to accompany her everywhere. Very annoying, of course, especially when your bodyguard is played by Hugo Diego García.

As you might expect, Marfil and Sebastián can't stand each other at first. But spending a lot of time together, dangerous situations, and a fair amount of tension turn out to be a pretty effective combination. As they try to figure out what is behind Marfil's kidnapping, it becomes increasingly difficult to pretend that nothing is happening between them. Prime Video describes the film as a mix of action, romance, and suspense.

It comes from the writer behind My Fault

That Drawn Together being watched so quickly is perhaps not very surprising. The film is based on Marfil, the first book in the Enfrentados-series by Mercedes Ron. She also wrote the Culpables-books on which, among others, My Fault is based.

And Prime Video doesn't seem to be done with her stories for a long time. Drawn Together is just the first part. The second book in the series is also being adapted into a film titled Drawn Apart. That sequel has already been officially announced, so if you want more right after the credits: there will definitely be a sequel.

And everyone is watching

Between September 14 and 20, Drawn Together was in first place on the global list of most viewed Prime Original films. This means the film left behind, among others, The Runner, You+Me – Against the World and The Last Sunrise Also within the list of non-English films, Drawn Together it took the top spot.

In other words: if you're in the mood for a film where you don't have to think too hard, but still get romance, suspense, and a pretty attractive bodyguard, you know what to watch tonight.
