Summer is coming and so is the festival season. Festivals 2026 promise to be grand again, as from early April to late September, the Netherlands transforms into one big dance floor. Whether you disappear for a whole weekend in a field full of music or just want to go wild for a day, anything is possible.

With more than 1,150 festivals and over 10 million visitors per year, we might just be the most enthusiastic festival-goers in the world. Quite impressive for such a small frog country.

Grab your calendar, because below we have lined up the most fun, biggest, and best festivals in 2026 for you, from the Netherlands to far beyond. From dates and locations to genres and line-ups: this is your ultimate festival guide for the summer of 2026.

AWAKENINGS

Techno lovers pay attention, this is your territory. Awakenings returns in 2026 with multiple moments, but the big kick-off takes place during Awakenings Upclose on May 16 and 17, 2026, in Spaarnwoude.

Expect no small names, but a line-up that brings together the top of the techno scene. Think of Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn, and Reinier Zonneveld. If you still haven't had enough after that, you can just keep going in July.

BACCHUS

Outside of techno and house, there is also room for those who prefer to take it a bit easier. During the Bacchus Wine Festival you settle down in the Amsterdamse Bos, spread over different weekends in June.

A glass of wine in your hand, sun on your face, and a soundtrack of live music and DJs that feels just right. Add food trucks serving everything from oysters to loaded fries, and your weekend is already a success.

And perhaps the best part: Bacchus is not just for adults, on Sunday the kids are welcome too. Mark it down: June 5-6-7, 12-13-14, and 19-20-21.

NO ART

No Art Festival lands on July 18 and 25, 2026, in Amsterdam. With of course ANOTR on the line-up and a sleek minimalist setting, about half of hip Amsterdam will be on the dance floor. From Madrid to Puglia, Ibiza, and Manchester, you will see No Art everywhere.

LAGO LAGO

Lago Lago Festival takes place from June 26 to 28, 2026, at Stroombroek. Expect house, disco, and feel-good sounds with names like Prins Thomas. Dancing by the water, feet in the grass, and an audience as colorful as the line-up.

BEST KEPT SECRET

If you love indie, alternative, and electronic, then Best Kept Secret is your place. The festival takes place from June 12 to 14, 2026, at Beekse Bergen, featuring Fontaines D.C. on the line-up. Three days of getting lost in nature.

AMSTERDAMS VERBOND AND MUSIC ON

From King's Day after-party to club energy: Amsterdam Alliance and Music On will show what Amsterdam stands for in early May.

On May 5, Amsterdams Verbond brings the city together with house and techno, raw and local. A few days later, on May 9 and 10, Music On takes over with long, hypnotic sets led by Marco Carola.

PIV

On June 5, PIV lands at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam. What started in the attic of Nilz Pronk (Prunk) and his brother Jordi has grown into an internationally recognized platform with events and releases all over the world. PIV stands for People Invited and has positioned itself for more than ten years as an alternative to exclusive VIP thinking. Progressiveness, equality, and inclusivity are at its core, so everyone is welcome.

With a line-up featuring, among others, Prunk, Gaskin, and Locklead, PIV promises again a day full of progressive underground house, delivered in the raw setting for which the festival has become known.

909 FESTIVAL

On June 6 and 7, techno blasts from the speakers during 909 Festival in the Amsterdamse Bos. Since 2011, it has been all about one thing: back to the core.

Built on the sound of the Roland TR-909, 909 stands for precision, repetition, and focus. No unnecessary show, no distractions, just music that keeps playing, with names like Joseph Capriati.

WILDEBURG AND WILDE WEIDE

By the creators of Wildeburg and Wilde Weide you can plan your summer quite well.

From July 3 to 5, 2026, you start at Wilde Weide: intimate stages, a dreamy environment, and getting lost in the two new areas. Less than a week later, from July 10 to 12, 2026, you go all out at Wildeburg with larger stages and endless nights.

DEKMANTEL AND INTO THE WOODS

Hi techno lovers, 2026 will definitely not disappoint. In addition to 909 Festival, Dekmantel and Into the Woods are back on the agenda.

From Wednesday, July 29 to Sunday, August 2, 2026, Dekmantel takes over the Amsterdamse Bos with cutting-edge electronic music and a line-up that will blow your mind. You wrap up at Into the Woods on Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19, 2026, where you literally disappear among the trees.

DANCE VALLEY

If you can't see the forest for the trees at Into the Woods, then you need to go to Dance Valley.

This one-day event on August 8, 2026, in Spaarnwoude brings house, techno, and EDM together in a hilly valley.

LOWLANDS

If a festival can go on forever in your opinion, grab your backpack and take your pop-up tent for a long weekend Lowlands. From August 21 to 23, 2026 at the Walibi Holland site.

With Lorde, Tyler, The Creator, and New Wave as Alpha headliners, plus Turnstile and Kneecap. From indie to hip-hop, from standing in the front to hanging out somewhere in the back. And if you're tired, you can just crawl into your tent for a bit and then get back at it.

VALTIFEST

With Valtifest ends your festival season anything but boring. Open that costume box, because here you can go all out. You land in an explosion of color where the crazier, the better. August 22, 2026.

OEROL

From Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, it celebrates its Oerol Festival 45th edition on Terschelling.

With the theme “Movement as connection”, translated by Vàlerie Valk, it’s all about coming together on the island. You wander from performance to art installation, with the extra highlight being the return of De Streken by Marc van Vliet.

And a little fun fact: ‘Oerol’ means “everywhere”. Exactly what it is.

WOODSTOCK

Woodstock at Bloemendaal aan Zee starts during the day as a relaxed beach tent and transforms into an intimate party spot in the evening. With a capacity of about 1,500 visitors, it feels just big enough, but still personal. Here, electronic music and that typical summer vibe come together.

Especially on weekends and during the summer months, you’re in the right place when house and techno DJs are playing while you stand with your feet in the sand.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for all of the Netherlands to move again from all the parties and festivals.

Agendas are filling up, weekends are getting booked solid, and group chats are working overtime because everyone is trying to snag that one last ticket.

Hopefully, this overview helps a bit in making choices, although the choice stress will probably only get bigger.

With summer in sight, it can't start soon enough for us. Now just need to score some outfits.
