This is how much the luxury resort in Zanzibar from Love is Blind: Netherlands costs

By

The couples from Love Is Blind: Netherlands had nothing to complain about the location during their honeymoon. Think of white sandy beaches, crystal clear sea water, tropical temperatures, and villas with their own swimming pool. It doesn't get much more romantic than this. But while watching the episodes, I mainly wondered one thing: how much does such a dream stay actually cost?

The resort where the lovebirds stayed is located in Zanzibar and is called Ycona Luxury Resort. And yes, you do need to save up a bit for a few nights in this paradise.

Which resort are the couples from Love Is Blind: Netherlands staying at?

For the honeymoon phase of Love Is Blind: Netherlands, the couples are staying in Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania. The resort that matches the images from the show is the Ycona Luxury Resort. The five-star resort has forty private villas, its own white sandy beach, and plenty of spots where I would love to unpack my bags immediately.

And I haven't even mentioned the villas themselves. Some accommodations have their own swimming pool, a tropical garden, and a rooftop terrace with a plunge pool. You can also enjoy various restaurants, wellness, and activities on and around the water. A romantic honeymoon? This location should definitely make that possible.

How much does a night at the Love Is Blind resort cost?

But nothing comes for free, and this tropical gem unfortunately also has a hefty price tag. I checked the official website of Ycona Luxury Resort, and the prices vary quite a bit. Converted to euros, you pay about €348 per night for the cheapest Jungle Villa. If you prefer a villa with a rooftop terrace and a private splash tub, prices start at around €438 per night. For a villa with an ocean view, you pay from about €527 per night.

But it only gets really cozy when you look at the more luxurious accommodations. The Signature Villa with private pool costs from about €616 per night, while for the Signature Beach Front Villa you pay at least around €795 per night.

But we naturally want to know how much the villas where the couples stayed cost. That is the Honeymoon Beach Front Villa with Pool and for that, you pay according to the official website from about €973 per night. And that is the starting price: depending on your travel dates and availability, the amount can be higher.

Does the villa from Love Is Blind really cost €10,000 per night?

Online, a figure of €10,000 per night is now also mentioned for the villa that is said to be featured in the show. That is quite a sum for a night away, even if you have a view of the Indian Ocean. Of course, you must not forget that the couples stayed there for a week, so ultimately that week of accommodation quickly adds up to €10,000. But for the villa that the Love Is Blind couples had, no. It was not €10,000 per night.

Want to go to the Love Is Blind resort in Zanzibar yourself?

Are you dreaming of spending a few nights in this resort yourself? Then you can view the various villas on the official website of Ycona Luxury Resort. There you will find the accommodations and their corresponding starting prices.

Do keep in mind that these are the prices for the stay and that you still need to factor in any flight tickets, transfers, and other expenses in your budget. Zanzibar may sound like a dream you want to book spontaneously, but at a luxury resort like this, it is wise to look at the entire cost picture in advance.

One thing is clear: the honeymoon location of Love Is Blind: Netherlands looks like a true paradise. Whether you are willing to spend €348 or almost €1,000 per night, it is definitely not an average weekend getaway. And I don't know about you, but after seeing those villas, I spontaneously want to plan my next vacation to Zanzibar.
