MAFS Australia S13 completely derails: episode 12 is the most toxic Dinner Party ever

I had already been warned, before episode 12, but this was really the most toxic episode ever in MAFS history (yes, I have really seen everything. Australia and the UK then).
But who was prepared for this? What.a.chaos. this Dinner Party. This was really so bad. And why? For what? I don't understand the whole reason either. Except that there are genuine mean girls in it this year.
And maybe the saddest part? That it all went off on the sweetest, calmest participants of this season. Who did absolutely nothing.
Brook, a model and really mega pretty, is also the meanest of them all. She is married to Chris. She leaves the show a day before the dinner party. Flies home, disappears, and then comes back for the dinner party. Complete chaos.
Okay, let's go back to the beginning. Or actually: the disappearance.
Brook packed her bags, flew to the Gold Coast, and left Chris completely confused. Pure ghosting, but with cameras involved. Cuckoo.
Chris is visibly struggling. He sticks the cameras in the car shut with gum, cries secretly, avoids the group, and literally says he feels like an idiot. I think Chris is in love for the first time in his life. During the dinner party, Brook suddenly walks back in.
“Surprise, bitches.”
She says. But, she doesn't come to make amends with Chris, but to argue with others.

Pure mean girl vibes
What happens next is truly everything.
Together with Gia (and later also Bec: how?) a sort of clique forms that revolves around one thing: bringing others down.
Exactly back to Stella, Alissa, David, and Filip, who have actually been known all season as the calm, genuine, and just really sweet participants.
But seriously: why them?
Stella is once again attacked without reason, laughed at, and dismissed as if she can't say anything. While she remains brilliantly calm, which only makes it more painful to watch. Stella is so strong.
It's actually scandalous that the experts didn't intervene (they're watching from behind, right?)

Alissa has it even harder.
And then the focus shifts to Alissa.
What starts as a discussion turns into shouting, personal attacks, and even mimicking her voice. Right in her face. Alissa indicates multiple times that she wants to be left alone, and even that is ignored.
But why is she getting all this thrown at her?
The same goes for David and Filip, who are visibly caught in the middle but are mainly trying to de-escalate everything.
The contrast couldn't be greater: on one side, people trying to keep calm, on the other side, a group that just keeps shouting louder.

Chris is completely forgotten.
Meanwhile, abandoned Chris is still sitting there. The man Brook married and for whom this experiment was intended. But Brook makes it painfully clear to him that he is not a priority at all. She jokingly calls herself a “runaway bride,” while he visibly breaks.
“I like her more than she likes me.”
That might be the only real moment of the evening.
And then even their own little group imploded.
As if the evening wasn't chaotic enough, Brook and Gia also drop a bomb on the table with a rumor about Danny (Bec's husband). This while Bec had just joined team Brook and Gia that evening. As a result: Bec, who had previously gone along with the behavior, completely explodes. She bangs on the table, gets emotional, and storms off.
Who is the meanest?
This episode is literally a Mean Girls episode. You are literally watching with your mouth open at an episode full of mean moments.
And that makes it so frustrating to see that the people who come across as the most genuine: Alissa, David, Stella, and Filip are getting the full brunt.
Without a clear reason. Without a real cause.
Just because they are not part of the shouting group.
That says it all.
One thing is for sure: the experts have a lot to say about this. Rightfully so!
And me. I'm just watching calmly. I'm very curious how this will end.
