Everything we can expect from Off Campus season 2

Whoever thought that Off Campus just a hockey romance was clearly not paying attention. The series came, saw, and left half of BookTok hyperventilating on Prime Video. And the best news: season 2 is no longer wishful thinking, but already confirmed. In fact, Prime Video had so much confidence in the series that the second season was ordered before season 1 even went online. So yes, we are going back to Briar University. Back to the locker rooms, the college halls, the confusing feelings, the hockey boys with too much confidence, and the women who know exactly how to take that confidence down a notch. But what can we expect from season 2?

Allie and Dean become the new main couple
Season 1 revolved around Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, or the storyline from The Deal, the first book in Elle Kennedy's Off-Campus series. But season 2 seems to shift the spotlight to Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis. That's interesting because in the books, first comes The Mistake, the story of Logan and Grace. However, the series has already planted quite a few seeds for Dean and Allie in season 1. Their chemistry was there, their chaos too, and let's be honest: those two have been screaming since the beginning, “we're going to have problems and we're going to enjoy it.” Showrunner Louisa Levy has also indicated that Allie and Dean will be the primary romance of season 2. This likely means: less fake dating, more friends-with-benefits-that-of-course-doesn't-stay-friends-with-benefits. Exactly the kind of emotional overestimation we watch for.
But Logan and Grace are not disappearing from the picture
For the fans who are now sputtering with The Mistake in their hands: no panic. Grace Ivers is coming. India Fowler has been cast as Grace, the love interest of John Logan, and that means Prime Video is definitely not skipping the book universe. It just seems that the series is treating the order a bit more loosely than the books. There is a good chance that Logan and Grace will be built up in season 2, so that their story can be played out more prominently later. A bit like series such as Bridgerton also constantly park future couples in the wings. You think you're just watching one romance, but meanwhile, three other love lives are being set up.
Hannah and Garrett will probably stick around
Don't worry: Hannah and Garrett don't seem to suddenly disappear from the face of the earth. Of course, their great love story has been told, but Off Campus it works precisely because it feels like a friend group you want to join. The series will likely continue to lean on that Briar dynamic: everyone getting involved in everything. We just want to see Hannah and Garrett happy for a moment. Not just suffering, longing, and miscommunicating. Sometimes a person just wants to watch two people who are finally together without all the fuss.

There will be more theater, more campus, and more drama
A notable new name in the cast is Phillipa Soo, known from Hamilton. She plays Scarlett, a theater maker who appears as a guest director in the drama department of Briar University. That sounds like good news for Allie, who is an actress herself, and will likely get more space to have her own story outside of her love life. This seems to make season 2 a bit broader than just hockey and romance. We will probably get more campus life, more friendships, more ambition, and more of those moments when someone says they are “really not in love” while the whole room knows that is a lie.
Justin is not coming back for now
A small downer: Justin Kohl, played by Josh Heuston, does not seem to be returning in season 2. His role in season 1 was of course strongly tied to Hannah's story, so it's not very surprising. But for everyone who secretly would have liked to see him again: unfortunately. The door does not seem to be permanently closed, but for season 2 we have to do without him.

When will Off Campus season 2 be released?
There is no official release date yet. However, we know that the second season got the green light early and that the scripts have already been written according to the creators. The cast would also start working on the recordings soon after the premiere of season 1.
Season 1 premiered on May 13, 2026, on Prime Video. If season 2 follows a similar production schedule, a release in 2027 would make a lot of sense. But as long as Prime Video has not officially confirmed anything, that remains an educated guess. In other words: we are already looking forward to the spring of 2027, but we are not putting it down in our agenda just yet.
