These are the shoe collaborations of summer 2026

It's raining shoe collaborations this summer. Brands that usually make flip-flops are teaming up with fashion houses to bring a more stylish variant to the market, often the brands that have set the shoe trends in recent years. The collaborations are pricier than the regular line, but more accessible than the collections of the luxury brands themselves. These are the coolest shoe collaborations of this summer.
Havaianas x Isabel Marant
The Brazilian brand Havaianas is one of the most famous flip-flop brands in the world and has had collaborations with Yves Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana in recent years, but these were different versions of their Ikat flip-flops, the model we are used to from the brand. They have never released a more fashionable reinterpretation before, but now they are launching the Maxi Puffed Studs in collaboration with Isabel Marant, made of faux leather and finished with studs. They are currently sold out, but are already on my wishlist. For those who prefer the classic Ikat flip-flops, they have also released a tie-dye variant.

Flabelus x Roller Rabbit
Flabelus opened its first store in the Netherlands at the end of May, on Kerkstraat in Amsterdam. Finally, the velvet Mary Janes and loafers are available to shop here too. Roller Rabbit is an American lifestyle brand known for its pajamas with colorful prints. Together, they gave the most popular models of Flabelus a makeover, resulting in a total of six shoes, including blue embroidery, green polka dots, or embroidered flowers. There is truly something for everyone.

Repetto x Birkenstock
Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot popularized the ballerinas from Repetto in the sixties, and in recent years models like Kate Moss, Lily-Rose Depp, and Kaia Gerber have breathed new life into the trend. But who would have expected that the French ballet brand would collaborate with Birkenstock? They released three models, including the well-known Arizona sandals in red with round buckles and two new models inspired by ballerinas. The Opera is a clog with a bow and a ballerina ribbon, and the Scala looks similar but is a clog with an open back and Mary Jane straps.

Melissa x Ganni
Melissa may be less known, but the brand invented the jelly shoe as we know it today. The capsule collection revolves around the flip-flop, which they executed in Melissa's signature jelly material, with a ruffled strap. Kitten heels are back this summer, so in addition to the flat variant, there is also one with a low kitten heel.

That brands are increasingly seeking each other out is no coincidence. It offers a chance to bring a touch of designer into the home without directly paying the price tag of a luxury fashion house. It's also fun to see what creations emerge, although I don't know if I would personally buy the ballerina clogs. But it is precisely those kinds of unexpected designs that make these collaborations so interesting.
