On vacation with kids? These viral hacks are truly the very best

I tested them for you!

By

There was a time when I could zip up my suitcase an hour before departure and be ready for vacay. Now? Now I leave with about half a toy store, a first aid kit, backups for everything, and a selection of snacks that would impress anyone.

Traveling with kids is fantastic, but let's be honest: the logistics can sometimes feel like a small military operation. So when my TikTok feed suddenly filled up with viral packing hacks, I knew one thing: there are a few in there that need to be tested. And surprisingly? I get the hype. I’m sharing the three best ones with you below.

Clothing organizer

At home, you probably fill the compartments with shoes; on vacation, you just hang the organizer in the wardrobe. No piles of clothes strewn around the room and no daily search for that one shirt. Everything has its place, and maybe the best part: you can fill each compartment with a complete outfit. Score: 10/10.

Hanging toiletry bag

What you can do, of course: you hang it up, unzip it, and everything hangs neatly next to the mirror in the bathroom. No more scattered sunscreen, hair clips, or toothbrushes. Exactly what it was designed for. Super handy.

But where it might be even cooler? On your child's car or airplane seat. Fill it with snacks, building kits, craft supplies, books, the iPad, or… just take a look below. I totally understand why this little bag is going viral, and I immediately got it in two for both mom and Enzo.

@arielle_mae Get a toiletries bag with a hanger that folds out and pack it with all the snacks and games for your kiddos! This easily hangs in the car, but can also zip up to bring it all inside the hotel too! #roadtriphacks #travelhacks #roadtripwithkids ♬ original sound – Arielle Mae

Car table

Maybe not the most attractive item on this list, but absolutely the MVP on the road. Coloring books, snacks, water, toys… everything within reach. And the foldable table? Perfect as a craft table on the go, to build a LEGO set, or to watch a movie with an extensive snack buffet during a long drive.

@casify35 This makes road trips with little ones SO much easier ✨🚗🫡 This travel tray attaches to any car seat and will help keep your little one entertained in the car 🙌🏼 we love it so much #roadtripessentials #traveltips #travelwithkids #playkids ♬ original sound – Casify

Are they life-changing? Maybe not. Do they make a vacation with kids easier? Definitely. Smarter packing and unpacking without spending the whole trip picking things up off the ground like some kind of acrobat? Yes please.
