This is the wine that celebs drank at the BAFTAs (and it's just available at Albert Heijn)

When I think of the BAFTAs, I see a red carpet, couture that requires a second mortgage, and a room full of ridiculously talented people. So, glitter and glamour. But amidst all that spectacle, this year there was a detail that is surprisingly accessible: the wine.

During the BAFTA Film Awards, guests sipped not only champagne but also an accessible red wine: Casillero del Diablo Reserva Especial Cabernet Sauvignon. Yes. That bottle. Just on the shelf at Albert Heijn.

Celebs are drinking... supermarket wine

The Chilean wine brand Casillero del Diablo is the official wine partner of the BAFTAs. As a result, both nominees and presenters drink various wines from their collection during the ceremony and dinner. From Cabernet Sauvignon to Sauvignon Blanc and even an alcohol-free sparkling variant.

In other words: Hollywood stars were practically drinking the same wine you pull out when you open a bottle of pestopasta on a Friday night. We love that idea.

The best part is that this Cabernet Sauvignon is not an exclusive bottle. Not one that makes wine tasters nervous if you store the bottle incorrectly. You can easily get the wine when you do your grocery shopping. Around nine euros and suddenly you’re award show-ready.
