TOMMY GIVES ME A CALIFORNIA FEELING
Tommy Hilfiger waved his magic wand and turned New York into a sunny beach. Surfboards stood in the sand, the sky was blue and music by the Red Hot Chili Peppers sounded loud and clear. I imagined myself on a Californian boulevard. Supermodels walked through the sand on wooden footbridges in tight beachy outfits, wearing lovely sandals with cork soles and brightly coloured straps. There were many surfer-inspired looks, revolving around the wetsuit: the bright, color-blocked T-shirt-style dresses in neoprene had scuba diving suit stitching and a front zip. I saw lots of pastels combined with bright red, blue and turquoise. We still have a few months of oversized coats, sweaters, leather skinny’s and boots to go, but secretly I wish summer was here.
