THE FIRST STEP

I’ve discovered something again. Valentina Zelyaeva. She’s been the face for Ralph Lauren, which isn’t unexpected since she’s incredibly beautiful. And, as fits a top model, she’s got a fascination for heathy eating and has her own blog. About healthy food, of course. I virtually bumped into her on Lonneke Engel’s site. Yet another great health freak. Getting a body like theirs means hard work, which I think is good to know.

In this clip, Valentina makes Brazil nut milk from Brazil nuts. Delicious to add to your shake, and much better than cow milk.

I understand that eating healthily is rather difficult these days (anyhow, in my case it is), and that it probably takes until Wednesday to think again about what you’re eating, but perhaps you could already make this milk today and store it in your fridge? You’ll have made the first step towards a healthy life. Cheers!

Ingrediënten

  • 500ml Brazil nuts
  • 2 dates
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 spoonful of organic vanilla powder
  • 1 spoonful of cinnamon
  • A pinch of Himalayan sea salt

You can save the milk for four days in the fridge. Add it to a shake together with a handful of spinach, a banana and some blueberries. A very easy, healthy, skinny breakfast. Which is what we all want, right?

Tip

If you want to curl on the sofa and watch a great movie: add one bag of tai chi tea and reheat the nut milk. Don’t forget to whisk it a bit. Add a bit of honey to make it more sweet. Enjoy!
