Anna Wintour was madame of ceremonies at her son’s wedding, Sarah Jessica Parker served as bridesmaid this weekend at the marriage of Melinda Relyea, her assistant on Sex and the City for eight long years. Melinda even got promoted to vice-president of Pretty Matches, Sarah Jessica Parker’s production company.

Melinda naturally chose an Oscar de la Renta to get married in, cause that’s what New York fashion girls who get married in Connecticut do. Sarah Jessica went for a deep purple, strapless robe that swept the ground. She wrote this about a photo of her dress on a hanger: “My bridesmaid dress, stretching, releasing wrinkles and then a quick disco-nap before heading toward church and a very joyous day and night. X sj.”
