FUN WORK-OUT SONGS FROM THE FIT GIRLS

I would seriously cancel my run around the Vondelpark if I’ve misplaced my earphones or realise my phone only has 4 percent battery left. Running without music is so not worth it. In fact: I can’t keep going for as long. For example the race last Sunday; loads of people lined the streets to cheer us on, but I had music on. I have several Spotify lists. I have names for my playlists like: work it baby, run run run, autumn, fun run and extreme. Somedays I train to slower music. I love that. Running somewhere on an endless road to Racoon or Jamie Woon blaring (loudly) in my ears. I remember falling hard on my face once because Marco Borsato let rip and me singing loudly along, except I didn’t see the pine cone in the middle of the road. Ahum, am I giving away too much? I think so.

Good, I’m about to share some great little work-out numbers with you and because I’m getting tired of my own lists, I asked some Amayzine-friends to name their favourite training songs with me. Here they come:

I find these songs good to start a long run off:
Clean Bandit –  Rather be
Becky G – Shower
Duke Dumont- I got u

Anouk Bos, Owner of the coolest site creators of desire enjoys running to reggae and sexy songs. She gets a huge amount of energy to sweat it up when listening to She doesn’t mind van Sean Paul and No church in the wild by Kanye West.

Esmée Noëlle from Rijn is a real fit girl. You can follow her work on her blog called Work That Es. Esmée likes listening to ‘gangster music’ when training her abs like: Krazie Bone’s song I’m a monster or M.I.A. from the Bad Girls.

Francine Regelink, one of the sporty spices from GirlsLove2Run loves running to Shake that ass bitch by Splack Pack and Higher ground from TNGHT.

Annette Lavrijsen  is editor-in-chief of Woman’s Health Magazine. You get that she spends lots of time on the treadmill or hanging out with the weights at the gym, for her job. She sent me an SMS with a long list of her favourite songs. Wonderful, dropped them all in my Spotify list. “I need upbeat songs to give me new energy after a long workday. For example: Audio Bullys – 100 Million or Fritz Kalkbrenner – Sky and Sand. My guilty pleasure for an adrenaline work-out is One Direction met ‘One way or another’. I also like putting on an audio book for long distance run.” See, that’s another good tip. “Make sure you’ve heard the speaker before though, in case you don’t like the voice.”

So, I’ll be starting tomorrow with a brand new music list. You too?
