Last week the Marc by Marc Jacobs store hosted a little get together with drinks, bites, and interesting people. The new collection had arrived and so it was time for some fun. I’d had to admit never being there before which is rather remarkable because I adore the Utrechtsestraat (where the store is) and I’m a fan of anything Marc. When I said goodbye to the Marie Claire editors I gave everyone a heart necklace that I bought at the Marc store in Paris.

Naturally, I fell in love with the collection. The jeans were smiling at me and I bought a bathkini (or whatever) in which the front is a bathing suit and the back a bikini. Ideal for me because a) I quickly get rashes on my chest which is now covered and b) I’ve got three daughters running all over the beach so I need to be able to move freely on land and sea, not very unlike an octopus risking multiple nipple gates. But my back will get nice and tan.

But that wasn’t what we were talking about. This dress caught my attention and I thought it was perfect to wear when I’m on duty at RTL Boulevard. And so it was. It’s easy to wear, cooling, simple with a sleeve with the perfect length. The parrot is just a funky extra that pulls the dress out of the mundane. The leopard pumps are from Gucci (and are divine) and the jewellery you probably already know by now. Tank watch from Cartier, Cartier rings, and Fendi bracelet. My earrings are from Isabel Marant, the small star from Bodes en Bodes.

The dress is now available at Marc by Marc Jacobs.
