As soon as there’s a bit of sunshine, all the terraces are stacked. I join people every week. I spotted terrace birds Anne and Nina (they’re from Roermond and felt like a day of Amsterdam) at Morlang on the Keizersgracht. In the sun, of course.

‘About arrogant boys at the hockey club. They think we’re arrogant, but we don’t get that. We’re incredibly kind.’

‘We’re drinken Rosé at the moment, some sweeter than the next.’

‘No, that would be Aperol Spritz’

‘A long light skirt, sunglasses, and a hat. Lots of accessories this summer.’

BEST TERRACE TIP IN AMSTERDAM?

‘All the terraces in the nine streets are great. We avoid the Kalverstraat.’
