The best gifts for Father’s day
Sunday’s the day to celebrate our fathers. Start the day with a telephone or text. Something like: “Dad, I think you’re the best.” Or something like that. And then you’re done. But on a day like this a small present should be bought. Pfff. It’s such a hassle to find something nice for your boyfriend, let alone your dad. Who’s got everything already anyway. Cheer up, I’m helping you.
NIKE FUEL BAND
This is a bracelet (looks really cool) which counts the kilometres you’ve walked but also the calories that you’ve used in a day. Great, dad’s getting older and should exercise regularly. A funny father gadget.
3. Nike+ fuel band, €139, Nike
HIT THE ROAD
Take your father to a nice hotel for a glass of wine. You bet he’ll feel on top of the world. Some bites. Just a father daughter moment.
BBQ TOOLS
Note: this is a bit of a fussy present, but trust me, you’ll father will be over the moon. Buy nice BBQ tools from Weber. Or — a lot less expensive and just as fun — at the Hema, those amazingly cute boxes with extra long matches and texts like “I love papa” and “I love you so much”.
1.Weber BBQ tool Set, € 29,95, Weber
5.XL Lucifers, € 1, Hema
SHOWER GEL
Sounds boring, which it might be, but not if you buy Hermès ones. That’s very fancy and luckily still quite affordable. There are different fragrances, but it doesn’t matter much which one you choose. They’re all good. And you know what else fathers like? Ice shower gel from Rituals. It works cooling afterwards. Makes him feel sporty.
2.Eau de pamplemousse rose douchegel, €32, Hèrmes
SWIMMING TRUNKS
I already mentioned this for your boyfriend, but it’s just a really great present. So many men that walk around in curious shorts at the beach. You can fix this yourself.
4. Swimming trunks, € 155, Paul Smith via mrporter.com
SOCKS
May sound corny but Paul Smith has really nice, colourful, super quality socks. And hey, a new pair of sock can’t hurt?
