The wealthiest designers

I spend at least 1 of the 7 days in each week concocting plans to become stinking rich. I don’t mean a little money to be comfortable with, no, I mean stinking rich. So that I could easily buy all the shoes at Harrod’s Shoe Heaven, or buy lots more Proenza’s in different colours, oh and add on a Céline and a Gucci. That would be so wonderful.

Last week I read an article about the insane wealth that some fashion designers have amassed, so my plan is now to become a pattern guru and seamstress as quickly as possible, because man, man, man you can earn big bucks.

But first I’m going to move to Italy, because that is where the richest designers live. On number 5 in the top 5 is Valentino Garavani with €1,7 billion, earned amongst other things by Maxima’s wedding dress. On number 4 is the love duo Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, they have a cool €1,2 billion. The top 3 are opened by Ralph Lauren and his bizarre €5,4 billion and then number 2 is Giorgio Armani with €7 billion in change. The first prize goes to *drum roll* Miuccia Prada with €8,1 billion.

8,1 BILLION. I don’t know. God can you imagine all the fun you could have. Anyway, I’ve got my sewing kit and a Design For Dummies book, so hopefully I’ll be joining Miuccia soon on our yacht with matching helicopter as we feed 1000 dollar notes to the fish for fun. I mean, what would we care.
