Furry business

With the risk of provoking all animal loving and fur hating Netherlands, I’m still sharing this trend. Whether you like it or not, fur ‘is happening’. Prada showed a fur coat in their spring/summer 2014 collection. Remarkable because fur doesn’t look like a primary necessity of life when it’s 30 degrees. And now for the price of the subject. Sixty thousand euros. Also not particularly a basic essential. But like always, La Miuccia’s influences are far reaching, and now there’s fur everywhere. New York had chillier climes and so wearing a secondhand coat there was a lot more legitimised than at the beach of Capri with a prosecco in hand, but a mink coat from ear to ankle remains something difficult. Luckily, we Dutchies aren’t that into fur, and we’re also content with fun fur. Because fur is the only kind of fake that my strict eyes allow.
