What to wear to the HNTM-finale

Tonight is the night it all happens, a new Dutch top model will be chosen. I’m pretty excited. I have good feelings about all of the finalists but I must admit that two of the four are special favourites. We’ll see how they do tonight because it counts for a whole lot.

I’ve been in model-mode for the last four days because a gorgeous Gucci dress is awaiting, but it’s from the runway collection so insanely small. I haven’t eaten much more than apples, mandarines and a few stray dim sum. I know, a terrible example but hey, anything for the dress.

As compensation I’ve been drinking more wine, or is that making it worse?

I keep doubting myself (TV makes you so fat and I’m sitting on a white chair, so it’ll be white on white, and, and…), so I have a few backup outfits in the car. A black Patrizia Pepe, it’s simple but I could spice it up with va-va-voom Prada heels.

I also have a soft pink Armani. When I tried it on in the Studio 21 dressing room I kept thinking about what Diane Vreeland said; “It’s not about the dress, it’s about the life you live in it.” An immediate and very wise lesson for the new Dutch top model.

Till this evening? 21:30, RTL5. I’ll be the woman in the white dress. Or the black one…
