5 things everyone was suddenly wearing

during Fashion Week

When you think of Fashion Week, you automatically think of two runways. The official runway and the streets of New York, London, Milan and Paris where every fashion savvy person has transformed into a dialed up version of themselves strutting back and forth through the streets hoping to be snapped.

As creative, unique and, for lack of a better word, authentic everyone tries to be, there are always items that everyone is suddenly wearing. Two years ago it was the sweater with all seeing eye of Providence from Kenzo, last season it was Dior’s tribal earring, and just like that we can come up with a list of fashion uniforms for each season.

I’m sure you’ve seen it before. From the front side it looks like a regular loafer, but the backside is open and filled with fur. It took some time for me to get used to them when I spotted them at a show, but now my online colleague Anna Nooshin and I are already fantasizing about when we’re going to go and buy a pair.

We signaled a lot of these this past fashion month. From sweaters, or better yet, leather jackets with personalized backs. You’ve got Best on your back and your BFF walks around with the word Friend, or you’ve got Love me Forever or Never embroided on your back side. Those kinds of things.
