7 FRESH IBIZA HOTSPOTS 2015
Between June and September Ibiza counts as one of the most popular vacation spots in the world. Once one gets a taste of the magical party island they’re bound to go back again and again. Consequently ‘wearing out’ the hip and happening places on the isle in a rather fast pace. Of course that’s not really a reason to abandon your faves and classics but today we’re here to quench your thirst for the freshest Eivissa hotspots circa 2015.
Located in the beautiful West coast bay of Cala Talida Cotton Beach Club Ibiza is a vision in white offering comfortable beds, good service by pretty waiters and an even better menu containing sushi, saffron mussels to die for and a killer veggie burger. The décor is very chic without being pretentious and just oozes a relaxing sense of freshness. Most definitely my favorite luxury beach club du moment and I’ll be trying to copy their cava sangria all summer long.
If you count out the endless partying, Ibiza really is about living a healthy lifestyle in a delicious way. Aubergine is a perfect example of that. On the way to San Miguel you’ll find this brand new restaurant serving the best of Mediterranean healthy cuisine with a awesome juice menu. It’s the kind of place that makes health food a true feast. All organic and local. There is even a local produce shop and all can be enjoyed on a pretty terrace. If you’re already in love with San Lorenzo’s La Paloma’s, you’ll want to try this one.
Brits love Ibiza like Kanye loves Kim. And now that the island is becoming more and more about luxury and fashion it’s seems only logical a designer like Stella McCartney is making a move out here. This June Stella McCartney opened up her first ever pop-up store in Ibiza Marina. The seasonal shop carries McCartney’s ready-to-wear and accessories and will operate until October. The design is in keeping with McCartney’s brand aesthetic, with natural materials and sculptural details. Baux, a recycled spruce wood, has been used throughout the space, while the rtw collection is displayed on recyclable brass sculptural rails. Natural wool felt curtains cover the fitting rooms. No doubt this will become one of the highlights of your Eivissa Town shopping sprees.
Sa Punta is known as one of the most beautiful dinner spots on the island and after successfully opening hot new Ibiza rooftop restaurant Patchwork last year, this summer the owners bring us Ginger. Inspired by their travels through Asia. Think cold Vietnamese spring rolls, spicy edamame salad, wild sea bass ceviche and tiger prawn tempura served in eclectic and colorful décor ranging from Art Deco style Chinese armchairs to vibrant embellished Balinese umbrellas.
Beach House was chosen 2014’s Best Ibiza Newcomer serving up a perfect mixture of good food, good beach and awesome parties. And as Ibiza’s classic hotspot El Chiringuito’s naughty little sister we didn’t expect anything else. Sunday and Wednesday nights are for raising the the roof.
I love that Ibiza makes it pretty easy to eat fresh and healthy food. You don’t have to skip the cool hotspots to enjoy a veggie plate and have it taste good too. Wild Beets is a Walhalla for healthy foodies craving a plant based culinary experience. The ambience is cool and cutting edge, the opening hours vary from 9 am – 11 pm and the food is just fantastic.
Ibiza is already in possession of a few very hip and inspiring concepts stores like Sluiz and La Galeria Elefante and since May Cocoq is added to that list. A concept home store located in Santa Eulalia aspiring to bring us the next level of design, architecture and irresistible nic nacs.
