De 7 prettiest and coolest M.A.C Cosmetics collabs ever
M.A.C Cosmetics is one of my favorite beauty brands. M.A.C was born back in the eighties and has turned into the go-to brand for all make up artists and anyone obsessed with color. The products are iconic and make you feel glamorous. Plus they often collaborate with the coolest designers and brands but their collars with cartoons might just be their most iconic ones yet. Here are my seven personal favorites. Maybe you’ll still be able to get your hands on them and if not, then don’t worry, there are new ones to look forward to. I’d say Zac Posen, Ellie Goulding and Olympia are reasons enough to be excited.
Barbie – 2007
There had to be a collection devoted to the most iconic doll who practically invented beauty. Obviously we wanted cotton candy pink lips, pastel cheeks and highlights underneath our eyes. And the packaging was sweeter than sweet. Probably the reason it’s pretty much impossible to get your hands on anything from this collection anymore.
Wonder Woman – 2011
Super heroes never go out of style. So clearly, a collection was devised with the colors red, white, blue and gold with insane products like a killer volume mascara and eyeliner and female super hero would completely stand behind. The coolest items from this collection were probably the blue and gold make up brushes and their metallic cases.
Carine Roitfeld – 2012
I came across this collab on Google and my god, how could I have ever forgotten about it. The collection is absolutely fantastic. Especially Carine’s distinct signature look, the smudgy smokey eye.
Riri – 2013
M.A.C and Rihanna’s collab was longer than most because there were just too many fun items they created. The lipsticks have even been added to the regular collection and all the earnings from the Viva Glam collection’s went to support a good cause.
Proenza Schouler – 2014
I’ve been addicted to blush ever since these two worked together. Luckily nearly all the products from collections find their way back into the stores (with different packaging) so you can still enjoy them. The brush line from this collection was so great, as were the nude nail polishes.
Maleficent – 2014
Shame on me, I still haven’t seen the movie, but Angelina sure did know how to rock the Gothic look. And that gothic look was hoisted into a M.A.C coat, with bloody red lips and nails. I do own one of the lipsticks and if you combine it with the Prep + Prime Highlighter you get killer cheekbones.
The Simpsons – 2014
2014 was a great year because that’s the year we were introduced to the Simpsons collection. Who doesn’t want Marge Simpson as a beauty icon? The Poppy Powder Blush and light colored mascara’s were wonderful.
