A festive house without a tree
this is HOW TO DO IT
I have a friend who is allergic to anything related to the plant kingdom. No joke. If you ever come across a Christmas tree in her house, then I can guarantee you, you’ll be seeing her with bright red eyes and on a sneezing frenzy the entire month. Anything but fun. But don’t worry, there are always alternatives. You don’t need a tree to decorate your humble abode for the holidays. Here’s a list of how to add a bit of Christmas into your house without the hassle of buying a tree.
ceiling decor
Garlands and pompons are always a good idea. They always add that extra bit of coziness to a place and don’t take up a lot of room. Just stick to the holiday colors to stay in the Christmas theme. Use paper to cut out Christmas trees or other holiday related items. Use gold or silver; pretty much any festive color that will make your house look holiday themed.
wall decor
Hanging something onto your wall is great cause it hardly uses any space. You can go for the traditional Christmas ornaments and angels and glitter balls, but how about giving it an original touch and hanging up a decorated clothing hanger or some wood.
cloches
Cloches, a personal favorite of mine. The great thing about these guys is that everything inside of it will always stay clean, all you need to do is occasionally get rid of the dust on the outside. Fill them up with the coolest festive things you find; Christmas lights, candy canes, Christmas ornaments…
presents
To get that ultimate holiday feeling without having a tree, think presents. Because who doesn’t like presents? Wrapped in beautiful wrapping paper with hand made labels; this is the perfect time to bring out your inner creative self. Spread them out around your house or put them all in one place. Make sure to wrap up something nice for yourself too because as soon as that calendar hits the new year, you probably don’t even remember what you packed a month ago.
