Scientists have the habit of researching things we’re not actually helped with, but on a rare occasion they discover things that are very handy indeed. There have been numerous papers on what men find attractive about women if you add them altogether you get the following list. I’d like to say, use this to your advantage ladies.

Red lipstick

Personally I never wear red lipstick because it’s such a hassle and I end up covering everybody and everything with my red lip prints, but it attracts men so I guess it’s something I have to submit to. A direct link has been found between men, red lipstick and female attraction to men. Men themselves are totally unaware of this unconscious effect, a big plus for us!

White teeth

The whiter your teeth, the better. Research shows that yellow or colored teeth are considered less attractive. But before booking a whitening session, snow white teeth are not commonly found more attractive than natural white teeth.

Wide hips small waist

The hourglass figure is by far men’s favorite. The waist, in proportion to the hips, has to be smaller and has their preference over a straight-lined figure.

High voice

Despite the raspy voice of Scarlett Johansson, unanimously considered ‘hot’ by men, research has stated that men have a preference for high voices. But watch out, baby-voices have never been appealing, save those for your cat or dog.

Little makeup

We knew this but scientists have confirmed it yet again; men don’t like thick layers of makeup. So put down those powder brushes and invest in good skincare so you can leave the house without a spot of makeup on.

Brown hair

Ha, finally, justice! A 2008 study confirmed men prefer brunettes to blondes. The length of the hair doesn’t matter. Bring on the hair dye!
