You undoubtedly know Charlotte from her wonderful website The Fashion Guitar. Many gorgeous outfits with great texts and an Instagram account with over 144.000 compassionate followers. When I was in New York I wanted nothing more than to have a look in her bag, sadly I didn’t get the chance. Thank goodness we have the Internet for that and everything I wanted to know about Charlotte and The Bag neatly rolled into my mailbox. So here we go.

How many designer bags do you have hanging around in your house? And which one was your very first?

“ I haven’t counted them yet, but my work has brought me quite a collection. My first designer bag was a bright orange Furla Candy-bag, I won it at a Susie Bubble photo-competition – on the blog Style Bubble. I remember this bag –it was about five years ago – being very popular, I was over the moon!”

Do you take care of your bags or are they kept somewhere in the corner of your closet?

“ A bag is a daily utensil, so I use them as a bag and am not over-cautious with them. Overall I take care of my things and I don’t expect any major accidents during my daily routine. Of course accidents do happen but I try not to worry about that. It would be a waste not to use the bag you are so overly fond of because you’re afraid something bad might happen to it, right? I stall my bags neatly in their dust bags on a shelf or a hook in my closet. On coming home I occasionally throw my bag over the highchair. And yes my kids have spilled a blob of yogurt on my Chanel Boy Bag once…but it came off fairly easily.”

Which one do you take out the most?

“It depends on my outfits. At the moment I’m in love with my Chloe Faye bag (small and large) so I use it a lot! On the pictures you can see the small version.”

Which bag took the longest saving up or the most trouble to get?

“The Chanel Boy bag.”

What’s always in your bag?

“Keys, phone, cardholder, hand balm and sunglasses.”

And finally, what bag is currently at the top of your wish list?

“If I’m totally honest I don’t have one at the top of my wish list at the moment. I’m waiting for this new ‘obsession’ to catch on!”
