BERLIN FASHION WEEK

IN 24 hours

This last week we flew to Berlin for 24 hours to soak up Berlin Fashion Week. Our first stop was the MarcCain show, where the presence of Katie Holmes and Liz Hurley caused hysteria as they arrived. Once inside – as usual for a fashion week – the champagne flowed freely, and the curry sausages were everywhere. Still Germany.

An exclusive tête–à-tête with Sylvie Meis was in the agenda for after the show. We ended up in the famous Hotel Adlon, the chicest hotel in the city and stamped in everyone’s minds as the hotel where Michael Jackson dangled his baby son Blanket out of the window. Sylvie told us all about her fashion choices, shared her beauty rituals, revealed that she currently has no interest in cosmetic surgery or injectables and then posed for our Look of the Day.

We were then whisked off to the Stylight Fashion Influencer Awards 2015. This prestigious international blogger ceremony was held at a top secret location. The Dutch Insta-hero Negin Mirsalehi has won the prize before and this time Linda Tol and Anna Nooshin were nominated. Supermodel Bar Refaeli, Sylvie Meis and fashion blog legend Bryanboy were on the jury.

The secret location turned out to be a deserted city swimming pool and the show took place at the bottom of the pool with the diving board above our heads. The hall was filled with fashion bloggers from all over Europe and we sat with wide eyes staring at the awesome outfits and creative looks passing by.

After the award show, we headed backstage armed with camera and microphone to congratulate fellow Dutchie Linda Tol, but also to meet the very good looking Mariano Di Vaio, who won Best Male Blogger with his MDV Style. Bryanboy revealed that he hates hashtags and Anno Nooshin explained which apps to use to best edit your photos. Stay tuned for more.
