COOKING WITH THE STARS

Some sing, others take to the stage and most of them market a perfume and / or clothing brand. Celebrities that come up with recipes and cookbooks are the ones that always capture my interests. Who doesn’t want to look like Gwyneth Paltrow or have a look in Kris Jenner’s kitchen. Let me fill you in on the latest health books of the stars.

The Body Book

A book by Cameron Diaz. “The law of hunger, the science of strength, the power of knowledge and other ways to love your amazing body”, it says on the cover. The book is made up of three parts: food, exercise and the mind. You get a free biology lesson as it tells you all about the chemical formulas of simple and complex carbs. There’s also a chapter on the weight of the average American, how much they eat, hidden sugars and how to avoid sugar in general. To everything she adds her own strategy.  She doesn’t mince matters because sweating, peeing, and pooping are also topics she discusses. Great Cam, needed that.

It’s all good

May-Britt gets a little itch when it comes to Gwyneth and I get that, I don’t think I could hang out in a bar with her all night. She won’t allow herself to let go and I think it’a a real pity when people are too strict for themselves. But that’s a different story. This book has been around for a while and its filled with super healthy and delicious recipes. It’s an avoid-sugar story, everything’s organic, no carbs and lots of protein. Well, I like it.

In the kitchen with Kris

This isn’t about healthy food at all, it just a collection of 70 favorite recipes enjoyed by the Kardashian family. We’re talking toasted cheese sandwich and pastas with lots of veggies. Aahhhh, now we know where those bottoms come from. This book has great pictures showing their kitchen and gives you tips on how to set a beautiful table. It’s really a wonderful book to read. But well I think the Kardashians are wonderful too.
