Tara Martin a business woman, fabulous fashionista and born and raised Angeleno. Lucky for us (and you) she is also the latest addition to our Amayzine team of international editors. Every week she will give us an inside look on her life on the fault line.

And that’s a wrap, thank goodness! This summer has been taken over by the move and remodelling of our art studio, office, and showroom. So now that all the dust has finally settled and been cleaned tirelessly out of my rockstuds and big hair, I can finally share some of the first shots of our new fashion office with all of you!

We moved to the middle of the fashion and arts district in the most happening part of LA. Its where industry, art and fashion all meet on the eastside of downtown LA and it is filled with street art, vintage shops, galleries, high end restaurants, farmers markets, happy hours, fashion offices, and artist’s lofts. You can feel the creative energy just walking down the street to grab a coffee and you never know who you will meet.

Because of the industrial and historic space, we went with mid-century décor mixed with what I like to call “industrial chic” in none other than my color palette of choice black, white and gold. It’s clean, modern and sophisticated but has fun fashion and art treasures from around the world and of course from our own in house creations.

I am so excited to start fall season in our new space and it feels so fitting to have wrapped construction on Labor Day. Now that we have officially closed summer, my life will be resuming its normal fall fashion schedule and I am looking forward to sharing our on-going projects and collaborations in our new studio and of course to be covering fall fashion in LA for you all. It is my favorite season so get ready!

A little look of the day is a sneak peek into our first big fall collaboration with contemporary leather line with Donna Katz Basso, owner of Linea Pelle. She is a dear friend and fashion maven to the core. An LA native and all around cool girl, so I am thrilled to be doing an exclusive leather jacket collection with her!
