Designer pieces for a steal

I always believed that I was privileged by right of ‘essential need of my function’ to spend at least half an hour per day surfing on netaporter.com. Then I heard something from a girlfriend who works at a large legal company; they too spend plenty of time ordering the necessary items. What am I talking about; boxes full of vacation outfits are delivered there.

I can’t imagine that you all have loads of time at your disposal, so I made a preselection for you. Gave me an extra half hour of nosing time, at the cost of the boss, ha.

My three tips:

1. Choose a statement piece

Now that it’s affordable is the time to get something ‘crazy’. Go for something with colour, shape or print.

2. Grab those unusual shoes

Of course you’d rather pay the full amount on something you can wear every day, but now that the prices are a little less, you can buy that unusual heel you’ve been eyeing. It’ll make every outfit special.

3. Go for a here and there dress

The problem with the statement piece is that it’ll create a there-she-is-again-in-her-canary-yellow-dress effect. Make sure that the item you buy can easily be transformed into a summer dress or office suit, if you throw a dark jacket over the top.
