Oh the wonders of Instagram. If it wasn’t for that dandy little app, we would have never come across this Scottish stunner and her coveting collection of bags. Meet Lynne Davidson, owner of Lynne’s Cake Emporium. She’s not only a talented and creative busy bee in the kitchen, she’s got a bit of a rock star edge too (and a killer wardrobe). She’s a huge movie buff and can frequently be found at concerts. We peeked through her bag to see what this girl tags along on a daily basis and which beauty you can find on her wish list.

How many designer bags do you own?

I think I have 7, but would love to add more to my collection.

Which is your favorite and why?

My Black Balenciaga with gold hardware. It’s such a classic and I can throw just about anything in it as it’s pretty roomy. I love how the hardware gives it a bit of an edge. I’ve had it for years and never get bored of it.

How and where did you get this beauty?

I bought this one from the Balenciaga website but I’m a HUGE fan of Vestiaire Collective. I shop there all the time. You can find some amazing bargains!

What are some of the things we will always find when we take a peek in your bag?

I always carry a nude lip liner and lipstick in my bag. My favourites right now are Mac Boldly Bare and Shanghai Spice. Nars Creamy Concealer is incredible so I always have it on me for touch ups. I simply cannot live without my IPhone and I always make sure I’ve got music with me. Either my iPod or some CDs for the car. I listen to a lot of Heavy Rock and Metal. The louder the better! Avenged Sevenfold are my life!

Do you take good care of your bags or are you rather careless? (As in, do you just throw them in a corner somewhere, or do you carefully stall them somewhere in your home?)?

I’m sure I could take a lot better care of them. I usually come home and just fling them in the corner. I’m far too lazy to store them in dust bags and boxes.

And last but not least, are there any other bags we can currently find on your wish list?

The Chloe Faye is gorgeous. I saw it in a really nice Cobalt blue colour the other day. Because I live in black, a little pop of colour would make a nice change. I’ve been eyeing up a lot of blue bags recently, but when it comes to colour this is about as adventurous as I get.

Ooh mensen, dat we Lynne niet al langer kenden is voor ons een raadsel. Misschien omdat ze in Schotland woont (duuh). Daar maakt ze namelijk de allerlekkerste taarten en cupcakes en heeft haar eigen Lynne’s Cake Emporium opgebouwd. Misschien kunnen we haar een keertje over laten vliegen.

Lynne is daarnaast ook een groot filmliefhebber en gaat vaak naar live concerten van haar favoriete band (en je gaat nooit geloven welke dat is). Wij namen even een kijkje in haar tas en daar past me toch veel in. Kijk maar.

Hoeveel designertassen heb je?
Ik denk dat ik er nu 7 heb, maar zoals elk meisje wil ik er het liefst zoveel mogelijk aan mijn collectie toevoegen. Helaas is dat een beetje onbetaalbaar.

Welke is je favoriet en waarom?

Mijn zwarte Balenciaga met gouden details. Het is echt een klassieker en juist omdat ‘ie wat groter is, kan ik er eigenlijk alles in gooien wat ik nodig heb. Verder vind ik de gouden details fantastisch, omdat die de tas net even dat extra randje geven. Ik heb ‘m al jaren en raak er nooit op uitgekeken.

Hoe kom je dan aan deze beauty?

Deze kocht ik via de website van Balenciaga, maar ik ben een enorme fan van Vestiaire Collective. Je kan er namelijk fantastische deals vinden. Niet gek dus dat ik daar vaak even een kijkje neem.

Als we even in jouw tas spieken, wat vinden we daar dan altijd in terug?

Ik heb altijd een nude lipliner en lipstick in mijn tas zitten. Mijn favorieten van dit moment zijn M.A.C Boldly Bare en Shanghai Spice. Verder zit de Creamy Concealer van Nars standaard in mijn tas. Deze concealer is de beste die er is, dus ik wil ‘m altijd bij me hebben voor onverwachte touch-ups. Natuurlijk kan ik ook niet leven zonder mijn iPhone en ik zorg ervoor dat ik altijd muziek bij me heb – dus of mijn iPod of wat cd’s voor in de auto. Ik luister veel naar heavy rock en metal – hoe harder, hoe beter! Avenged Sevenfold is op dit moment favoriet.

Zeg eens eerlijk: ben je een beetje voorzichtig met je tassen, smijt je ze in een hoek of staan ze allemaal op een plank in een dustbag?

Om heel eerlijk te zijn kan ik echt veel beter voor mijn tassen zorgen dan dat ik op dit moment doe. Als ik thuiskom, gooi ik mijn tas vaker in de hoek dan dat ik ‘m netjes opberg. Eigenlijk ben ik stiekem gewoon te lui om mijn tassen elke keer in dustbags te stoppen.

En als laatste, staat er nog een op je wishlist? Zo ja, welke?

De Chloé Faye vind ik prachtig. Ik zag die laatst in een heel mooie kobaltblauwe kleur en omdat ik eigenlijk alleen maar zwart draag, is een beetje kleur een leuke en welkome verandering. De laatste tijd kijk ik sowieso vooral naar blauwe tassen. Op de een of andere manier word ik er naartoe getrokken, maar een avontuurlijker kleur dan blauw gaat het zeker niet worden.
