Seven summers in a bottle

 I’m taking a weeks vacation because I have to still my hunger for the sun. I have been following the weather report by the second taking care no nasty clouds get in my way. All this talk of the sun got me thinking about summer fragrances . The ones that really get you into that summer feeling. Into my suitcase they go. Or if you’re staying home give them a place in your handbag.

Sole di Capri

 I’ve never been to Capri and that won’t be happening any time soon. Until then I have this fragrance to keep me occupied. I love those Lancaster summer perfumes. Fresh, a touch sweet and very wearable in the sun. There’s no alcohol in them so no risk of spots just pure pleasure.

CK One Summer

This fragrance is music to my ears. It’s a kind of sprayable gin & tonic with citrus, juniper and aniseed. It sure boosts up my energy. If boyfriend enjoys that tropical smell, that’s great cause it’s unisex. You can ooze together.

Aqua Allegoria

I always enjoy the Guerlain summer line. The lime and orange make it a little feisty but it’s still very summery and fresh. And the bottle?, wow, in a word radiant.

Eternity Summer

 This is a hottie, more sensual than fresh. That’s because of the peony and amber. It reminds me of the scent that lingers after spending the day on the beach and then sipping cocktails till sunset.

Cool Water

It takes me way back when. No I don’t mean it reminds me of my grandmother. It was my first love, my first favorite fragrance. For Christmas and birthdays I have received more little blue bottles than I can count. This is the limited summer edition. Just as fresh and watery as I remember but a tad sweeter. Happy in Bloom

I’ve been looking forward tot his for ages. Hurrah for the new happy in Bloom. We all know this fragrance, a very recognizable mix of fruits and flowers. They renew it every year and I must say this year suits me particularly well. Smells Gorgeous.

Every summer Estée Lauder introduces a new icon. This year it’s Bronze Goddess. It has an exotic aroma and has a sensual touch. Coconut milk, sandalwood and vanilla are warm and tropical all at once.
