Something I think looks fabulous on others, but I don’t dare wear myself are hats. To be specific, it’s an issue. It looks good, but it’s such a fuss with cycling (blows off my head), walking (I have the feeling I can’t see everything) and actually everything else to do with getting around. On the other hand, a hat really does complete an outfit beautifully. And sometimes that’s simply very necessary.

Now Maison Michel has the most incredibly gorgeous and extraordinary hats and if I would go for a hat, that’s where I’ll be going. It’s a French label, one that Rihanna, Vanessa Paradis and Jane Birkin are mad about. Especially the rabbit ears – my favorite from the collection too. They’re made of lace and not just great fun, but also sexy and just va va voom. Oh, and a bit pricey. Still, all that can be ignored because you are not a danger on the road (all my reasons above for not wearing hats can now be crossed off), it completes every outfit and Easter is on the way too. I’m off to order one now. This will be a life-time-investment.
