Why May-Britt thinks Saint is a completely normal name
In fact, it is somewhat dissapointing
And there it was. The app group with the name of the newest edition to the Kimye fam. Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t personally send me a text, it was our health editor who’s been keeping a close eye on every social media channel waiting for Kimmy K to pop.
His given name is Saint. “Of course it is,” our beauty editor stated. “Kanye is God so that makes his son a saint. It’s simple.” I know other average human beings who call their kids Hero but then their kid ends up being one of those who’s too scared to go down a slide. It’s a tough situation. Or Angel or Fairy. Way to set the bar high for your kids. If Angel ends up being a bully or Fairy ends up getting some kind of drug problem, the names just make the situation even worse than they are.
Baby names. It’s always going to be a struggle. I’ll never forget reading an article in a news paper about a girl in New Zealand who started a law suit against her very own parents. They had given her the name Talula Does The Hula from Hawaii and she was all but for it. We can’t really blame her, can we?
Some parents come up with the most bizarre names that sometimes they are prohibited from being registered. The ‘basic rules’ state that the name can be no more than 100 letters, nothing offensive and it can’t contain any numbers or signs. Which is weird cause I’m pretty sure my name uses a dash but alright, I guess I will be informed if I’m up to guilty of a felony…
I don’t know what it is about New Zealand but for some reason they pop out the weirdest names. The judge wasn’t too amused about the name Fish and Chips either. Same goes for Sex Fruit and Stallion Yeah Detroit by the way. Also prohibited.
The name Midnight Chardonnay did however make the cut. Better yet, it was the cause for a celebration and a glass of wine.
So when you compare Saint to all of these, it really isn’t all that bad. Perhaps even simple. I truly hope Kim and Kanye have even more kids and that the next time around they let their creative juices flow just a tad bit longer. A noble obligation, so to speak.
