11 HANDBAG ESSENTIALS TO GET YOU THROUGH THE DAY
A run in your tights right before you have an important meeting. Runny mascara after having rushed to work on your bike. You chipped your nail right before you set foot through the front door. Suddenly getting your period when you thought it wasn’t that time of the month yet. Ugh, there are just certain things you can never be prepared for.
Life is full of surprises. Ask my coat which ripped when I was in the train this morning on my way to work. Okay, it didn’t rip half, but there’s a hole in the back. Which is almost the same thing. After work you have to attend a chic dinner so there’s no room for you to quickly drop by your place to switch coats. Luckily, our super intern Roos was still at home when this happened and brought a small sewing kit to the office for me to use. My (female) knight in shining armor.
The above mentioned event inspired me to write the following post: things every woman should have in her purse to make it through the day.
1. Clear nail polish. For that run in your tights and such. It’s vital. Or even better: don’t wear tights at all.
2. Cleansing wipes to get rid of the dirts or food stains from your clothes and shoes. Best solution ever.
3. Miniature sized deodorant. To beat those sweaty pits when you’re in a rush.
4. Makeup cleansing wipes since that panda bear look is definitely not the makeup trend for 2016.
5. A pocket sized mirror to check if you hair still looks good and you don’t have any quinoa stuck between your teeth.
”There are just certain things you can never be prepared for’
6. A nail file incase you chip a nail. I swear by the glass nail file from Kho.
7. A tampon, or one of those panty liners, because we all know why.
8. Dry shampoo to make sure Elvis won’t be jealous of your greasy hair. Our beauty editor swears by dry shampoo from Moroccanoil and I can’t blame her.
9. Tissues, so you don’t look like a 6 year old little kid with a runny nose. Not cool.
10. A miniature sewing kit.
11. A bandaid, to reassure your foot that you can handle that blister you got from those sky high heels.
Alright, so now it’s time to treat myself to a new bag that can fit all of the above. Talk about a win-win situation.
