5 ways to upgrade your cheap bouquet of flowers

From cheap to fancy

Whenever I visit our country’s capital, I always have fixed places I go to when I want to buy a nice bouquet of flowers. For some reason small towns, or perhaps it’s just the one I live in, don’t have too many options and tend to stick to bouquets that you can buy at grocery stores (get what I mean?). Here are five steps that are going to help you create a masterpiece out of a simple bouquet.

1. Get rid of all the green

Most bouquets are filled with a bunch of branches and leaves that have a way of making the actual flowers disappear into a petit jungle. Get rid of all the added and unnecessary green so that all the attention is on the flowers.

2. Split it up

All the flowers together might look frumpy, but when you split them up, they will ooze more luxury. A flower on its own is usually far more interesting and by doing this, it will get the attention it deserves.

3. The vase

Want to make the most of your flowers? Then they deserve to be suited up in a nice vase. One that is clean, but one that also has a cool shape to it.

4. A range of heights

The coolest bouquet of flowers, a bouquet of wild flowers, are never cut the same length. They’re cool because all the different shapes and sizes make it more playful. So, grab your bouquet and take out the flowers one by one, decide how you want to place them in the vase, then start cutting the stems in different heights.

5. Mix it

Received a few different bouquets (perhaps for your birthday or a diploma)? Combine them. Take all the bouquets apart and start mixing them. This is bound to give you some unexpected combinations that you are going to love.
