7 things we’re wondering now that brad and angelina called it quits

The previous breakup already left a huge scar on my heart. I was in South Africa at the time reading the morning paper when I read that Brad had left Jennifer for the ‘American prikkelpop’ (that’s South African for bombshell) Angelina Jolie. Took my own love and I a couple a days to let it sink in.

So now I was happily wandering around Milan in the middle of fashion week and the news finds its way to me too: Brad and Angelina, the most powerful couple in Hollywood and the rest of the world, are over. Even though we recently put them in our line of most stable celebrity couples in the world. After a multitude of hurdles and always coming out first place, a wedding (with the ugliest dress ever, but regardless), overcoming breast cancer, the sweetest open letter Brad wrote for his wife, divorce is in the works. And hold on tight, cause this ride might take a while. And here are some things we’re wondering will happen along the way:

1.     Are Brad and Jen ever going to get back together?

I know Jennifer for remarried and she says she’s very happy, but wallowing took a long looong time and all the psychiatrists in Hollywood. Secretly her heart still belongs to Brad and she’s hoping he will one day be the father of her children.

2.     Who’s side are George and Amal on?

They can’t spend one night at Brads and the following night at Angelina’s. You just can’t. You have to pick a side.

3.     What’s going to happen to their vineyard?

This is a personal thing, but a dear old colleague of mine owns a vineyard next to Château Miraval, Brad and Angelina’s vineyard. It was so nice to be able to hang out on their terras and nonchalantly ask: ‘So how are Brad and Angie doing?’ For that reason alone, I hope they keep it (preferably Brad because, well, I don’t know, perhaps because I’m more Team Pitt) and I can mindlessly keep asking whether Brad is alright there on his own in such a huge winery…

4.    Will Brad still be seeing Maddox?

Because that’s the son Angelina adopted. Is she going to keep him away from Brad? And Zahara too? Please say it isn’t so.

5.   Is Angelina going to get too thin?

Brad kept an eye on her to make sure she didn’t lose too much weight, but now that she’s on her own I’m worried for a mix between ano- and orthorexia.

6.  What’s going to happen to the wedding dress?

I mean: it was a. a rare form of hideous (proof, proof) and b. what are you supposed to do with it anyway when it reminds you of something fun? Free suggestion: set it on fire.

7.   When will Brad be seeing the kids?

Angelina wants full custody of the kids. Brad is allowed to see them every now and then though. But how does that work? Every Sunday afternoon? That won’t work will it? Or are they going to be flown back and forth in the back of a helicopter with their nannies?

I don’t know how I feel about this guys, I really don’t.
